Well although Dick Figures didn’t win, Lynn Wang, Zack Keller and I had a blast at the 2013 Streamy Awards this year! What a blast to share a night with such a huge bunch of our talented peers. Congratulations to all the other winners and nominees there!!! Also a big congrats to Electric City who took Best Animated Series! Joel Trussell, who directed all the animation at Six Point Harness, deserves a huge high five for his tremendous effort and amazing vision on the project - tonight’s award was well-earned my friend!

Who would have ever thought so many people would watch our weird little first cartoon or that we’d ever have come as far as we have with Dick Figures, but with all love and sincerity— thank you to all the fans and audiences who have supported us over the last 2 years. Just got off the “phone” with Baman Piderman creators Lindsay and Alex… AND GUESS WHAT THEY’RE GOING TO BE WORKING ON THE MOVIE WITH US! THAT’S RIGHT!! I’m thrilled to have them joint our little rag-tag team of animators making Dick Figures The Movie, they are the nicest people alive. AND if the animation was good before, it’s going to be awesome now (no pressure haha)!! Guys look forward to some crazy-awesome ninja explosion animation coming your way sooooooon YEAH YEAH!!
Zack Keller and I got the enormous honor of being nominated in this year’s Annie Awards for “Directing in an Animated Television/Broadcast Production”. We were up against some powerhouse studios and projects and, while we didn’t win haha, it was a privilege just to spend the night with such talented people. The lovely Lynn Wang and I got to class things up a bit and spend an evening with a ton of other classy people in a classy place, and it really made me think how crazy it is that a little web series like Dick Figures could make it into such prestigious company. Maybe the judges haven’t actually seen the show. Haha kidding, Annies, let us back next year pretty please; we’ll have a movie done by then and maybe then we’ll need a pick up truck for all the awards and free champagne we’ll be bringing home. My prediction… 100% chance of 100% success. Forever. But seriously, thank you to all the fans, friends and family who have watched the show and made it as popular and successful as it has become over the last few years. We wouldn’t be here without you guys, so thank you again. Because instead of in suits we’d be in boxes. Under the freeway. Eating trash sandwiches. Dead or something. Viva Dick Figures!
